THIS WEEK'S PROGRAM:   May 18:  Pete Crandall, Relay for Life

May 25:  NO MEETING, Memorial Day

June 1:   Harry Burnett, program/food

 May 11, Meeting Highlights:

We met at Pearson's Falls to pick up trash along the roadside.

Jim Scott reviewed the potential sponsors and assignments of members to contact potential sponsors.

A very pleasant meal was provided by Chris Bartol who brought Subway sandwiches, along with chips, pickles, and condiments.

Pete Crandall talked about Relay for Life and asked for volunteers to help at the dinner for cancer survivors to be held at the Midway Baptist Church in Columbus on the evening of May 12.  Pete and Ann Crandall, Reggia Drake, Ed Kan, Reuben Greenberg, and Dawson Chiles helped out at the dinner.  Pete was the principal speaker. There were approximately 150 cancer survivors attending and a sumptious dinner was served, followed by an exciting raffle of many presents.
