Scholarships

The Thermal Belt Rotary Club has presented 4 Scholarships to area high school students this June. Landrum high School graduate Lauren Jensen, daughter of Warren and Diane Jensen will be attending Converse College in the fall. Lauren was very active in the school’s Interact Club. Jennifer Waddle of Landrum High School will be attending the College of Charleston in the fall. Jennifer is the daughter of Linda Waddle. Jennifer was a member of the Beta Club, Foreign Language Club and Junior Leadership Program at Landrum High School.
Polk County High School graduate Kamron Kerr will be attending Clemson in the fall.
Kamron is the son of Lori and Brian Kerr. He was a member of the Basketball and Football teams at PCHS. Kamron would like to major in agriculture.
Christopher Abril a Polk County High Graduate will be attending North Carolina State University this fall. He is the son of Colleen and Chris Abril of Columbus. Christopher would like to major in engineering. He was a varsity soccer player and team captain.
Congratulations to all of these fine students. These young people will be the leading stars of our future.
