July 6:  Meeting Highlights:

The July 6 meeting was attended by 12 members at the Chamber meeting room. Past president Pete Crandall looked back at last year's activities and urged members to pat ourselves at the back. P{resident Ann Crandall encouraged us to keep doing what we have been doing. Thought for the day for given by Ann Crandall on the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence, who gave their lives to influences to the USA and the world. July 4th was to celebrate our free country. Rotarians should give ourselves to influence the world.

Frank Ortis reminded us about the tickets for Shrimpfest.

Jim Scott and Pete Crandall were Rotarian Star for their efforts at the Bike Tour.

President Ann asked the members to wear the new pin everyday this week to increase interest and awareness of our club. Happy $ will be collected for Polio Plus.

Jim Scott gave a summary of the Bike Tour. Saturday was not the best day for Bike Tour for riders and volunteers. Number of riders went from 407 last year to 279 this year. Unpaid sponsors needed to be contacted to collect money. Expenses were down this year, with profit went up from $8812 last year to $9800 this year. Jim Scott also gave a Rotary Minute about Health and Happiness.  Regular was followed by Board meeting.
