President Ann Crandall gave the thought for the day. July 13 was the 194th day 2009. There was a blackout in New York city in 1977, which affected part of upstate NY an even part of Canada. But the light from the Statue of Liberty kept on shining. She also reminded us of the visit of our district governor on August 17, and urged everyone to be at the meeting. A thankyou card and note from Dharmash was read and passed around. Ann then introduced our speaker, Olivia as a person who could get things done.

Olivia skellie then gave a report of her experience of spending a week at the RYLA camp. She has learn different leadership skills incaluding communication, trust, working together, group decision-making, setting goals, group dynamic. Activities included building a raft to go across a lake, rock climbing, obstacle course,  etc. She had made many friends at the camp. She then signed a children's bool for the library. President Ann Crandall also thanked Kathy Stoney for her dedication and services to the Interact Club.

Sgt. At Arms Highlights: Dallas Johann collected Happy dollars for Polio+ to honor our speaker and guests.  Birthday, sad and DA dollars were collected.  The 50-50 pot of $8 was won by Chuck Britton.
